How do I use a CCS NACS DC Mobile EV Charger?
To use a 30kW or 50kW NACS DC Mobile EV Charger, first find a compatible NACS charger and connect the adapter to the charger's NACS connector. Next, connect the adapter to your vehicle's charge port and ensure it snaps into place. Depending on the vehicle manufacturer, you may need to use the vehicle app or a specific app (such as the Tesla app) to start the charging session. To stop charging, unlock the cable using the app, the vehicle screen, or the release button on the adapter, then disconnect the adapter from the vehicle and the cable.
To use a 20kW, 30kW, or 50kW portable CHAdeMO EV charger, park your vehicle, open the CHAdeMO port, and firmly insert the CHAdeMO connector into the vehicle port. Once connected, activate the charging session using the charger's designated method (such as the app or RFID card), then confirm that charging has started on the charging station display. Finally, end charging through the charging station interface or app before disconnecting the connector.
To use a 20kW, 30kW, or 50kW portable CCS 1 EV charger, first, make sure your vehicle is turned off, then insert the portable adapter into the vehicle's CCS port until it clicks securely. Next, connect the charger's NACS (or J1772) cable to the adapter's input and follow the charging station's instructions to initiate charging via its app or payment system. Finally, monitor charging via the vehicle's display to confirm that charging has begun.
To use a 50kW mobile EV charger, first connect the mobile unit to a compatible 480V AC wall outlet, then plug the DC fast charging cable into the EV's charge port. Charging will typically begin automatically, but you may need to authenticate using the mobile app, an RFID card, or a contactless payment method before charging begins. To stop charging, simply disconnect the cable or use the appropriate app command.
Before You Begin
  • Confirm the power source: Ensure the 50kW mobile charger is connected to a suitable 480V AC power source.
  • Check your vehicle: Make sure your electric vehicle is compatible with a 50kW DC fast charger and is equipped with the correct port (CCS2 or CHAdeMO, depending on the charger).
Step-by-step guide
  • Place the charger: Place the mobile charger near your vehicle, as it is designed to be portable.
  • Connect to AC power: Plug the mobile charger's AC input cable into a 480V AC wall outlet. The device should power on.
  • Connect to vehicle: Remove the DC fast charging cable from the charger and plug it into the vehicle's charge port.
  • Start charging: Some chargers will automatically power on upon connection. If not, use the authentication method specified by the charger manufacturer or charging network (app, RFID card, or contactless payment system).
