Product Introduction
NACS is a direct current (DC) fast charging connector standard—formerly known simply as the “Tesla charging connector.” It has been used with Tesla cars since 2012 and the connector design became available to other manufacturers in 2022. It was designed for a 400-volt battery architecture and is much smaller than other DC fast charging connectors. The NACS connector is used with superchargers, which currently charge at a rate of up to 250kW.
Product Features
1
The NACS connector has a single button located on the top center of the handle. When the button is depressed, a UHF signal is emitted to command the vehicle to retract the latch or open the charge port door.
2
Compatibility for new Ford and GM EVs. Charge point operators can convert CCS1 charger connectors to NACS to accommodate the latest vehicle standards.
3
High capacity performance featuring 250A Tesla NACS Connectors and Plugs for efficient energy transfer.
Physical Design
The Gun is an EV connector complying with the NACS standard, supporting charging rates up to 250kW for efficient power delivery.

Performance & Compatibility
High Power Ratings: Designed to handle high currents, offering exceptional ratings up to 250A. This ensures ultra-fast DC charging speeds, significantly reducing time spent at charging stations.
Versatility: Compatible with all Tesla EV models on the market today. Whether you own a compact electric car, a powerful SUV, a heavy truck, or a commercial vehicle, this plug meets all DC fast charging needs.
Enhanced Safety: Through ultrasonic welding between the conductive terminal and cable, contact resistance tends to be zero. Built-in temperature sensors provide real-time monitoring for a safer charging experience.
Frequently Asked Questions
What is NACS and how does it differ from other standards?
NACS (North American Charging Standard) is a compact DC fast charging connector design. It is significantly smaller than CCS1 connectors and supports charging rates up to 250kW, making it highly efficient for modern electric vehicles.
Is this charging cable compatible with non-Tesla vehicles?
Yes, as major manufacturers like Ford and GM adopt the NACS standard, this connector can be used with their new EV models. Many charge point operators are also converting existing CCS1 chargers to NACS to support this shift.
What is the maximum charging speed supported?
The NACS connector supports a maximum charging power of 250kW and a voltage rating of up to 1000V DC, allowing for ultra-fast charging sessions.
How durable is the NACS connector?
The connector is designed for heavy-duty use, with a mechanical life of over 10,000 plug-in/pull-out cycles. It can also withstand a 1-meter drop and the pressure of a 2-ton vehicle running over it.
What safety mechanisms are built into the plug?
Safety features include short circuit protection, ground fault detection, and integrated temperature sensors that monitor the heat levels during the DC charging process to prevent over-temperature issues.
Can the appearance of the NACS gun be customized?
Yes, the product supports both OEM and ODM services, including simple logo customization as well as full adjustments to the functional design and external appearance.
