The adapter works with an 18650 rechargeable battery. You need to charge the battery only the first time, after that it will be automatically charged. Most EVs have 400 V battery architecture meaning that they can withdraw around 90-100 kW of power (400 V*250 A). Electric cars with 800 V battery architecture will be able to withdraw 160-200 kW of power.
